Yes, Carl--for sure! T & p also to all those impacted by the terrible flooding in FL and the upper Mid-west, at least!

Thoughts and prayers for Quentin this morning on his loss. One of my cousins in CO is literally on the edge of a wildfire. She hasn't been told to leave yet but she says she can see flames and definitely smell smoke.
Heard an interesting defect detector report yesterday. CN train M347 was going over a HBDE detector with 4-six axle locos and 173 cars. The detector came back with the usual direction of travel, temperature, no defects and should have said 716 axles. However it said the train had 5 axles! They never stopped moving over the sensor which can prompt "funny" readings.

Quentin, I am so sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family. Please know that others care.
Words fail us at a time like this. I'm sorry that Pat and I never got to meet Jean. Please know that we're thinking of you now.

Quentin,
My wife and I sent our most sincere condolences to you.
We're so greatfull for so many caring, good folks on this forum.
It's certainly been a trying time. But Jean's time to suffer is past now. She was a full believer, as I am as well. So it's comfort as told to us in the scriptures, believers have a place in Heaven ready for them.
Erin {daughter}, and I, thank each one of you for all the encouragement, and well wishes along with your Prayers for Jean, {us}.

We've been lying low for the past several days--really don't enjoy triple-digit temperatures. And by "low", I mean The Dungeon...the laptop keyboard actually ceased to function in the upstairs heat. We got a break today in the form of a quarter-inch of rain (miniscule compared to what's needed), but it's hot and steamy again now (our current 85 feels worst than yesterday's 101 to me).Tomorrow we head west, for a wedding. First order of business: trains for breakfast (I hope!). I don't know if I'll be available to open the new place, so Dan (or somebody), I hope you'll do the honors.
